Haskell Animal Control is responsible for the enforcement of the Local and State laws regarding
companion animals within the Haskell City Limits. In doing so, we must occasionally impound
animals. The animals are held for a minimum of time per local ordinance.
The City of Haskell has a part-time Animal Control Officer who works under the supervision
of the Public Works Director. This Officer will respond to complaints Monday through
Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. After hours or on weekends, if there is an emergency
situation, call 911 and ask to have a Haskell Police Officer contact you. The Haskell Police
Department will notify the Animal Control Officer.
As stipulated in Ordinance 2003, all dogs and cats are required to be vaccinated for rabies,
licensed, and tagged. Animals can be registered at the Haskell City Hall Monday thru Friday
from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You must bring proof of vaccination, and the cost is $5.00 per
animal each year.
To report an animal complaint Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., please call City Hall
at 776-2666.
